Waste Watchers’ stick-em-up to save resources

turn off lights sticker

The 5th Grade Waste Watchers are raising our resource consciousness by putting up stickers at almost all the school’s light switches and paper towel dispensers. (Bathrooms do not have light switch stickers because — isn’t it obvious? We want the lights on in there.) Waste Watchers looked at online examples, then put together their own turn-off-the-lights reminder. Local artist Mindy Mitchell, a colleague of Belvedere volunteer Andrea Auerbach, drew the final walrus and melting iceberg based on the students’ description.
These Come From Trees donated 100 stickers for the paper towel holders.
