It takes a village — plus dedication, sunshine, and pizza

garden archWe had such a great workday today. More than 50 people turned out and worked their tails off. I’ll post more photos later, but am dog-tired and just want to get a ginormous THANK YOU out as quickly as possible to all of today’s volunteers.

Because of all those helping hands, Belvedere now has another composter (this one with twin tumblers), the cute arch in the photo above with its feet set in concrete, an expanded pumpkin bed, a mulched native grass path, a candy apple red trellis for the courtyard, a sunshine yellow fence to protect the blueberry bushes, more painted bricks to border our gardens, cold frames for most of the edible beds, and winter cabbages planted in jack-o-lanterns. We also got rid of the weeds in the decomposition garden, buried bulbs in the ground, and spread new mulch around the raised beds. And you can see the stepping stone paths in the courtyard again!!

MANY THANKS!

HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR WEEKEND, AND THANKS FOR SHARING SOME OF IT WITH BELVEDERE.
